First, please make sure you understand how the new affiliate platform works. The following are the 4 most common reasons.
Scenario 1: If the person you referred did not use your affiliate link on the device and browser they used when registering for CourseCareers, then your affiliate ID will not be associated with their course purchase. The affiliate ID is initially set in a cookie until the user registers. Tracking unregistered users is very difficult and could have privacy implications and we respect our visitors' privacy. It is up to the user/purchaser to follow through with the correct sequence of events and we have no control over that. Referrals are non-retroactive meaning we cannot go back and manually add a referral to a purchase order.
Scenario 2: Likely, the person who clicked your link had previously clicked another affiliate's link first. We use what is called first-click attribution. You can read more about first-click attribution in this FAQ.
Scenario 3: Another common reason is that the purchaser received a refund for the course.
Scenario 4: On the Affiliate Analytics page, if you see unpaid commissions for one or more purchases you will want to check and make sure the Payment date is more than 14 days ago from last Friday's payout date. If it is, then you may have received an email regarding your payment either asking for your PayPal email address or asking for you to fill out a digital W9 form. Go to Refer Friends > Settings and enter your PayPal email address. It must be a valid and verified PayPal email address.
If you did not receive an email, first check your spam folder for an email from coursecareers.com. If you have a Gmail email it is possible you have a Promotions tab and the email could be in there.
If you are still sure that you are owed for a referral, then let us know and include as much detail as you can.
