Age can be a benefit if you use it to your advantage, We cater to entry-level positions which are typically younger people. For individuals who want to transition their career into the tech field, including cybersecurity, IT support is a good place to start. With this being a self-enrolled course, we do not track the age of our students. You should be able to operate a computer at a basic level and be willing and ready to learn about tech. We will teach you the IT skills you need to know to get an entry-level IT support position. With age comes life experience, so that could be a benefit. If you do have any technical experience, that would also benefit you.
We do not do job placement. We teach the IT support skills employers want and we teach our students how to market themselves on LinkedIn, how to prepare their resumes, how to interview, and how to get interviews.
Every individual possesses unique strengths and weaknesses. Age, like any other attribute, should be presented as a strength when marketing yourself. With age often comes stability, dependability, and wisdom. However, it's ultimately up to each company to determine the significance of age in their hiring decisions.
This is what Josh has to say on age, "In terms of employability, the things that matter to an 18-year-old are the same things that matter to a 60-year-old. This is covered within the course, but one should strive to be the best version of themselves."
